My work is multi-faceted, like me. It's not created for a single audience. Different pieces are derived from a range of emotional places and for a variety of different reasons.

As an undergraduate, I studied fine arts and psychology. I then earned a master's degree in education, focusing on expressive therapies. Some of my art is influenced by my academic training and a decade-long career that followed, when I worked with children and teens in inner-city schools and a children's hospital as a board-certified, registered art therapist and licensed counselor. My Lunar Mooner Lula series of books for children is meant to impart big-picture lessons and wisdom.

Much of my other studio work is aimed at adults and heavily influenced by current events, the subconscious, the natural world, and absurdity. My work can be subversive and powerful, raw and grotesque, beautiful and interesting, educational, lovely and weird. I make art because making art is my gift. Through my art I hope to bring joy, further cultural discussion and critique, and inspire reflection. Thank you for your interest and for being a thoughtful viewer.
